Multimedia Projects
First Nations Water Investigation
I was part of a consortium of reporters from several media outlets and journalism schools that worked on a year-long investigation about Canada’s First Nations’ water crisis and the root causes of boil water advisories on reserves.
I contributed hours of reporting and research to the project, which won a 2021 RTDNA for investigative journalism.
Opioid Series
For The Walrus, I worked on a multimedia series about Canada’s opioid crisis.
I contributed research to support the project’s execution and fact-checked several parts of the series to ensure the utmost accuracy and editorial rigor.
Sex Education Project
For The Walrus, I worked on an 18-part series about sex education and the state of the curriculum in Canada.
I contributed research to support the project, which won a 2019 Digital Publishing Award for ‘Best Editorial Package.’
Disaster Reporting Series
I directed and produced a six-part multimedia series that took an in-depth look at natural disaster reporting for the Review of Journalism.
The project was nominated for a 2018 Canadian Online Publishing Award.
