Hi, I’m Daina.

A content leader, writer, and strategist focused on climate and ESG.

I have more than a decade of experience directing and producing editorial and content marketing projects — from research-driven articles and reports, to podcasts, newsletters, and everything in between.

I spent the first eight years of my career working as a journalist at some of Canada’s largest newsrooms and publishing houses, like Corus Entertainment and St. Joseph Communications. It’s there where I covered some of the country’s most high profile stories, including two federal elections, Ontario’s historic 2019 floods, the First Nations water crisis, and the national opioid problem. I’ve won several awards for my investigative and multimedia work, including two RTDNAs and a Digital Publishing Award, and have been invited to speak about my reporting in both high school and university classrooms.

Several years ago, it became clear to me that the climate story wasn’t going away. Feeling compelled to be part of the solution, I joined a B2B climate tech start-up, where I helped manage the production and distribution of daily content for a proprietary editorial product about climate-related financial risk. I quickly rose up the ranks to lead the company’s multi-channel content marketing plan, which included the release of biweekly blogs, monthly podcast episodes and webinars, and quarterly white papers.

Now, I’m leveraging my editorial and content marketing expertise to tell research-driven climate and ESG stories for B2B and B2C brands. I still occasionally moonlight as a journalist — but this time, I’m exclusively focused on climate change and the net-zero transition.
